I used to be a Veterinary Nurse and lifted animals all day. I can lift heavy objects now, but my back muscles tighten up and pull my discs out of alignment. It is excruciating and I usually need my husband to "pop my back for me" by lifting me off the ground. Sometimes this works, but usually not. I did some research on the Inversion table and read some doctor's comments. I decided to order the Elite Fitness 9300 table as my mother's day gift and it arrived just in the nick of time. I hurt my back severely 2 days ago and have not had any relief. The box arrived yesterday and my husband and I were able to follow the directions without any difficulty! If you have a Nice socket wrench at home, use that. The small wrench it comes with takes forever. Some IT's out there don't come with instructions or are poorly assembled. It did take us a little over an hour to put it together, but the packaging of parts was organized and alleviated confusion!! I immediately jumped on and enjoyed some "therapy" in 3 minute bursts as soon as we were done~!!
What a difference today! I used a heating pad to soften my back muscles before and after and I can't wait to stretch out this morning!
If you are looking for relief, this is definately a better alternative than drugs or surgery! I love the elite! It does fold up, but not as small as I would have liked. That is something I am willing to live with! The padding is comfy and my ankles didn't hurt near as much as I had anticipated. I love this table and you will too! Elite Fitness IT 9300 Deluxe Inversion Table
As for the quality of the table, I have no complaints. It's not a $300 table, it's a $140 one. It's sturdy and light, both BIG benefits. It folds for storage, but not really. It can't be leaned against a wall nor slide under the bed so I just leave it in place.
My two complaints concern the height adjustment and the foot holders. I am 5' 10'', but I have to have the leg extension all the way out to 6' 3'' or my head hangs off the table. The foot holders are pretty painful, but I bought a cheap pair of over the ankle tennis shoes and that took care of that.
All in all I'm pretty happy with it.
The only issue I have with it is storage. The table is held on the the legs by 4 bolts and you can fold it up by removing a pin but then you are lugging around a 55# metal thing that is 6 feet long and that is not easy.
Other tables allow for removal of the table from the base so you have 2 parts to lug around.
The other thing that is annoying is adjusting the height. The knob you have to pull to adjust the height is too close to the metal support on the back of the table and the tube that should slide easily doesn't. It sticks unless you tilt the table and lets gravity help you.
After a couple months the black coating on the handholds started cracking and that tells me it's another cheap Chinese product.
It comes with tools, such as they are. I used a 13mm wrench and a 13mm socket on a ratchet handle to put it together.
This was a present for my wife and she is happy with it.

Assembly isn't too bad, but if your back is giving you seriuous problems you will need help. It isn't as easy to store as I expected, but I use it twice a day so I leave it out. I keep it in an empty-ish spot beside the wall in my living room - it's a bit of an eye sore, but my back loves it and that matters more than pretty much anything else...
I have a compressed L5 disk caused by a leg length difference (1 inch) and this beauty has made a HUGE difference in the first month of use. I also suffer from a sticky S.I. joint due to the leg length thing and this doesn't help with that as much as I had hoped (still need chiro every three weeks). My problem has been under control for about a year but I had still been getting more jolts of pain from movement than I would have liked. I eased into using the table with the most shallow recline and noticed improvement right away. My back is much more mobile since using it and am up to 60 degree incline doing crunches that would irritate my back if I was lying on the floor (on a yoga mat). A slow, patient approach will likely yield dividends for disk issues in my opinion.
Spinal decompression absolutely works but it is crazy expensive ($100 per session where I live). One of these tables is a bargain and I would suspect that the typical user would know very quickly if it suits their needs longer term. My chiro offers spinal decompression and told me that these work great over time, just don't go fully inverted. The blood rush to the head factor is pretty minor if you are in shape, but if you are not, ease into the recline and follow the instructions because I suspect there is some risk involved (lots of warnings in the paperwork).

The inversion table is high quality and comfortable. As others have mentioned, it is important to "go slow" at the beginning. The limit bar prevents the user from going too far.
Highly recommended.
